The Connective shared the joy of printmaking with the public at Nuit Blanche on September 19. Over 350 prints were made by visitors!
Hundreds of people visited us. They were very enthusiastic: some printed, some watched, some took pictures of their prints and other people’s prints. One couple who frequented the Toronto Nuit Blanche said that the Connective has become their favourite stop at Nuit Blanche.
This successful event was possible because of Connective members who volunteered their time and talent.
Deidre Hierlihy initiated the event; Deidre Hierlihy, Rosemary Lindal, Ted Johnson and Tina Petrovicz provided linocuts; and Tina Petrovicz and Shirley Yik organized the event.
Connective members who volunteered during the long night include Jenny Waterman, Katrin Smith, Carol Steinberg, Rod Restivo, Louise Butler, Shirley Yik, Denise Bisson, Rosemary Lindal, our newest member Katharine Fletcher and non-member Marc Lavoie who lent a hand in the late night shift. Thank You all!
We appreciated the help provided by staff and volunteers at the Ottawa School of Art, and to Malika Welsh who organized Nuit Blanche at the OSA.
